What is the North East Business Support Fund?
Launched to help people to start their own business and to support existing small businesses (or social media enterprises) to grow and develop.
With already having supported over 2,500 businesses, the North East Business Support Fund has been extended through to March 2023 and is now open for applications.
In order to be eligible for the funding your business project must have a budget of at least £2,500 and a maximum of £8,000 – to which NBSL will then provide you with up to 40% of the total cost (with a maximum of £3,200).
Your project must also cover one of the following areas:
- To make more sales; marketing strategy, web design/development, video/animation creation, and social media.
- Reducing costs: management systems, product development, process improvement, and quality management.
- Succession planning, business growth planning, financial restructuring, and change management.
Your business must also be trading and classed as a small-to-medium-sized enterprise – which means you must employ fewer than 250 people and have a turnover of less than €50 million.
