eCommerce Expert: A Change of Scenery & Looking After Your Mental Health - Myk Baxter Marketing

Greetings from Barcelona!

As I publish this I’m currently wrapped up exciting business meetings & client onboardings whilst under the Spanish sun.

With the dark nights & Winter chill pulling in, I decided it was time to break away from normal life in the UK and escape to the city that always fuels me with motivation and helps combat my SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder) mood.

As I’ve touched upon before here on eCommerce Expert, my mental health late last year took quite a hit. I’d never felt so low and had fallen back into some old bad habits, leading me to feel like I just wanted to throw in the towel. But, at the end of the day that wouldn’t have solved any of my problems.

But this Autumn, I’m determined not to relapse back into this mindset & I’m taking more time out for myself whether it be aboard or back at home in Darlington. Alongside venturing on this mini work trip, I’ll also be actioning the following practices:

Waving Goodbye to Negative or Ungrateful Clients

I’ve discussed this many times over the past couple of years, but there’s nothing that causes me more unwanted stress than being faced with a client who is ungrateful or rude towards Myk Baxter Marketing. My team & I will always go above & beyond our client’s needs to ensure we deliver the very best digital marketing & web development services.

Therefore, in Q4 of 2022, I will not hesitate to immediately cut off disrespectful clients no matter what the financial gain. My mental health, & that of my team is so much more important to me.

Continuing My Journey With The Great Adventure Mastermind John Beamson.

If you are a loyal reader, you’ll be aware of the journey I’ve been on this year with John Beamson, founder of Robustours

I’ve challenged myself physically, mentally and emotionally more than I ever have and boy has it been worth it! Come on – I even completed the National Three Peaks Challenge!

However, the journey doesn’t end here as I’m proud to announce that I recently set myself up to participate in the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge on the 7th of November, which challenges you in endurance and height. Stay tuned for an insight into this journey.

I’m so grateful for John’s support over the last ten months, he’s a fantastic guy and has become a great friend of mine too. I’d highly recommend for anyone who finds themselves in a mental rut to reach out to him.

Looking Towards 2023

I’m already working hard behind the scenes to make sure that we leave 2022 on a high and enter 2023 with a bang!

I’m not really a fan of new years resolutions, but I have compiled together a few business goals for the year ahead. Including:

  • Re-designing & refreshing my website & our service showcase.
  • To expand my team – my team are already brilliant, but now is the time to grow our close-knit family morale.
  • To keep gaining more client leads in a wider range of locations & industries.

So if you are interested in partnering with me and the MBM UK team in Q1, contact me today.

Thanks for reading,
